We are staffed by peers- individuals who have lived experience with mental health conditions and/or substance use recovery. Peer support is a key component, as it helps build trust and empathy, allowing individuals to connect with others who understand their experiences. This peer-led model is built on the idea that recovery is possible and people are empowered to take an active role in their own wellness.
Unlike traditional clinical settings, our drop-in center focuses on non-clinical services, meaning we provide emotional and social support rather than therapy or medical treatment. Common services include: support groups, workshops, social activities, and referral services.
One of the defining features of our drop-in center is that we are designed to be low-barrier and easily accessible. We typically operate without the need for appointments or insurance, allowing individuals to “drop in” as they need. This makes us an attractive option for people who may not have access to traditional mental health services due to financial, transportation, or other barriers.
